Realme launched two new smartphone in realme 8 series with the name realme 8i and realme 8s 5G. Both the phones come with a hole-punch selfie camera design and packed with triple rear cameras setup.

Realme 8i comes with 120Hz refresh rate display, 50MP triple camera while realme 8s 5G has 90Hz display, 64MP primary sensor. Realme 8s is the world’s first mobile with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC while the Realme 8i is India’s first with the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset.

Realme 8i specifications

The dual-sim handset is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 chipset paired with ARM Mali-G57 with upto 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB internal storage. User can aslo increase the storage via a microSD card up to 256GB. The 6GB RAM model supports virtual RAM up to 5GB. The handset runs on Android 11 based on realme UI 2.0 out of the box.

It is features with a 6.6-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixels) display with a 90.80 percent screen-to-body ratio, dynamic refresh rate between 30Hz to 120Hz, 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and protected by Dragontrail Pro protection.

Talking about optics, the device packed with triple rear camera setup with a primary 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 sensor with an f/1.8 five-piece lens. The setup also include 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. For selfie lover it has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

Realme 8i back with a 5,000mAh battery thats support 18W fast-charging. For authentication it has side-mounted fingerprint other sensor include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port.

Realme 8s 5G specs & features 

The triple slot mobile phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset paired with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The internal storage can expand via dedicated microSD card slot up to 1TB. Company also bring Dynamic RAM expension technology in the realme 8s 5G upto 5GB.

It is features with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) 90Hz display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and upto 600 nits of peak brightness. 

Talking about camera the realme 8s 5G packed with 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. Other two sensor are same as realme 8i. For selfie, it has also same 16-megapixel punch-hole selfie shooter with an f/2.1 lens.

It is back with 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W Dart Charge fast charging technology. For authentication it has side-mounted fingerprint other sensor include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, proximity sensor, magnetometer. Connectivity option includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, USB Type-C ports.

Pricing and availability

Realme 8i price in India starts at Rs. 13,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The higher 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage option priced at Rs. 15,999. It will be available in Space Black and Space Purple colours from 12pm (noon) on September 14th vai flipkart and realme.com.

While Realme 8s 5G priced at Rs. 17,999 for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model , and 8GB RAM + 128GB variant will be at Rs. 19,999 from September 13th in Universe Blue and Universe Purple shades color options.
